To see contest entries, you need to click on the link beneath a photograph that says "149 Entries." That will take you to the contest entries; this is the way the Google Blogspot structures the blog.
The Rules
1 - Be nice.
2 - Have fun.
3 - Enter a caption or quotation appropriate (in a quirky, quarky sort of way) to the photograph.
4 - Multiple entries in a single "comment" are okay.
What do I win?
Our site is new. Depending on how much interest and participation evolves, you may win anything between permanent inscription of your name and entry below the actual photograph (eternal digital distinction) and receipt of the much-publicized contents of that Nigerian escrow account. Time will tell!
about photo credits
We wish to respect the rights of the photographers who have done this nice work. Where we find a credit attached to a photograph, we will post the credit; if we post your photograph and you wish a credit-line, we'll do it. If we post your photograph and you do not wish us to use it, let us know and we will take it down.

Sister Sites
Quirk & Quark has three sister sites.
Opinions on Our Lives & Times (http://sayingnicedoggie.blogspot.com) comments on contemporary history - things that The Blogger has seen or that we have all seen together.
Memetics & Marketing (http://memeticsmarketing.blogspot.com) comments on the conundrums of contemporary convoluted (generally U.S.) politics. The Blogger may be the only right-wing vegetarian on the planet. It's all a little quirky here, too.
Jin Shin Jyutsu Healing (http://jinshinjyutsuhealing.blogspot.com) is about the practice of a Japanese healing art, Jin Shin Jyutsu. One could describe it as acupuncture without needles or similar to Reiki; it is what it is. The Blogger has practiced this art for 25 years.
author, actor, publisher, pilot, practitioner of both dark and healing arts (economics/statistics/Jin Shin Jyutsu). You may contact me at steven.bassion at gmail.com .
Experience has made us aware of several similar-sounding blogspot websites. In terms of content, there can scarcely be any confusion and we all applaud our collective wit in choosing our names.
